One of the advantages of these rainy season is the availability of different fruits and vegetables in abundance.

you can agree with me that 'CORN' is one of these foods we literally cannot do without in this rainy season. The availability and easy processing of it makes it a must have in every market list.

Let's look at the nutritional aspect of Corn

1.  Eat Well with Low Income: Due to the economical situation of the world today, corn is one of the cheapest and ready source of carbohydrates, calories and protein. You can still be nourished through consuming this grain.

2. Reduce Constipation: Corn just like other grains contains dietary fiber, though low but it can help with digestion and reduce the risk of constipation. Dietary fiber also reduces cardiovascular infections and respiratory diseases.

3. 100% Gluten Free: Goodnews for those that are intolerant to gluten. Corn in as much as its a grain is free from gluten and generally safe for people that don't consume gluten and want to add grain to their diet.

4. Highly Proteinous: It might interest you to know that corn is higher in protein than many other vegetables, YASS!. We are not ignorant of what a diet rich in protein can do, so do you want to consume more protein, Corn is generally ideal for you.

5. Enriched with Antioxidants: In as much as corn is low in vitamins and minerals, it contains specifically a group of antioxidants called carotenoids which combat the effects of harmful free radicals in the body.

In conclusion, what more can we say? well, take advantage of this beautiful maize season!!! you can spice it up with coconut, pears, groundnut and enjoy the delicious and nutritional benefits from it!
